दिल्‍ली: BJP को मिलेगा सरकार बनाने का न्‍योता

दिल्ली में सरकार बनाने का रास्ता धीरे-धीरे खुलता हुआ नजर आ रहा है. उपराज्यपाल दिल्ली विधानसभा चुनाव के बाद सबसे बड़ी पार्टी बीजेपी को गुरुवार को औपचारिक तौर पर सरकार बनाने का न्योता दे सकते हैं.

इस बीच राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी ने भी दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल नजीब जंग से दिल्‍ली की राजनीतिक स्थिति के बारे में जानकारी मांगी है.
सूत्रों के मुताबिक, उपराज्‍यपाल ने डॉ. हर्षवर्धन से फोन पर बात की है. हर्षवर्धन अभी रायपुर में हैं और गुरुवार शाम को दिल्‍ली लौटने वाले हैं. बताया जा रहा है कि हर्षवर्धन और उपराज्‍यपाल के बीच गुरुवार शाम को मुलाकात हो सकती है. इधर शीला दीक्षित का भी इस्तीफा मंजूर हो चुका है.
हालांकि अब तक दिल्‍ली में सरकार बनाने का कोई भी ठोस फॉर्मूला सामने नहीं आ सका है. उपराज्‍यपाल का सबसे बड़ी पार्टी के तौर पर बीजेपी को सरकार बनाने का न्‍योता दिया जाना महज वैधानिक प्रक्रिया का हिस्‍सा है.
बीजेपी बहुमत के अभाव में कोई 'जोड़-तोड़' न करने की बात पहले ही कह चुकी है. अपने सहयोगी अकाली दल की 1 सीट जोड़कर भी बीजेपी के पास कुल 32 का ही आंकड़ा है, जबकि बहुमत के लिए 36 का संख्‍याबल चाहिए.
दूसरी ओर, आम आदमी पार्टी का कहना है कि सबसे बड़ी पार्टी होने के नाते सरकार बनाने का दायित्‍व बीजेपी पर है. AAP के पास 28 सीटें हैं और वह किसी पार्टी को न तो समर्थन देने और न ही समर्थन लेने की बात कई बार कह चुकी है.
रही बात कांग्रेस की, तो उसके पास 8 विधायक है. कांग्रेस सरकार बनाने के लिए AAP को बिना शर्त समर्थन देने की बात कह चुकी है. पर कांग्रेस से समर्थन लेकर सरकार बनान AAP को मंजूर नहीं है. सियासी अनिश्चितता के दौर में देखना है कि दिल्‍ली की जनता को 'कैसी' और 'कैसे' सरकार मिल पाती है.

BJP to invite 10000 tea vendors for Narendra Modi's Mumbai rally

Mumbai: The BJP is pulling out all the stops to make its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's rally scheduled for December 22 a "grand" success, and in a strong message to Congress is inviting as many as 10,000 tea vendors to attend the public meeting.

"Around 10,000 tea vendors from the city will be invited to attend Modiji's rally. We will send invitations to them soon," a party functionary said on Wednesday evening.

Since he was named the party's prime ministerial nominee, Modi has been referring to his humble background as a tea vendor to strike a chord with the common people and to take on Nehru-Gandhi family.

"By inviting tea vendors, we will send out a message to Congress," the functionary said.

Apart from 5,000 private buses, the state unit has also booked 20-22 trains to ferry its workers from various parts of the state to attend the rally to be held at MMRDA grounds.

As many as 20,000 students from the city will also participate in the rally through BJP's Yuva Shakti campaign, a party leader said.

According to an office-bearer, state BJP leaders want to make the rally a big success by attracting huge crowds similar to Modi's Hunkar rally in Patna.

While Congress has accused Modi of playing to the gallery by referring to his humble background, senior party leader Digvijaya Singh recently said even a 'chaiwala' (tea vendor) can become prime minister of the country.

Recently, Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Naresh Agarwal created a flutter, saying "someone rising from a tea shop can never have a national perspective".

However, Modi turned the "chaiwala" slur to his advantage, saying, "A person who polishes boots can also change the fate of a nation"

Give BJP a missed call; get picked up for Modi's rally

Mumbai: The state's BJP unit is planning to give Narendra Modi a rousing welcome at his rally later this month, and several plans up its sleeve to increase footfall. 

Modi will address the rally at the MMRDA grounds in BKC on December 22. Sources have revealed that the BJP workers are devising elaborate plans to make it the biggest political rally ever in the country so far. Having set themselves a target of over 8 lakh attendees, they are leaving no stone unturned to make this figure a reality.

For instance, all that a supporter has to do is give the party a missed call at a given number, and an organiser will call them back, take down their number and residential address, and even pick them up on the day of the rally from a landmark near their homes. 

The move is geared towards wooing supporters who are toying with the idea of attending the rally, but live on the fringes of the city in Borivli, for example and are daunted by the distances they have to travel to make it to BKC.

Confirming the development, Niranjan Shetty, spokesperson for BJP's city unit, said, "We have asked people to give us a missed call and have also made arrangements to get them to the MMRDA grounds, if they desire to come with us." The party is also planning to woo supporters to register online for the rally, saying that they will be allowed into a separate enclosure if they do so. "The target is to register 2 lakh supporters online.

Our senior state leaders have told us that the target for online registration is high because we want to surpass the footfalls recorded in Modi rallies in Karnataka and Hyderabad, where 1.5 lakh and 1.25 lakh people had registered online respectively," said another leader. The party is also arranging for people from different corners of the state to arrive on trains and other modes of transport, and has roped in religious organisations to give food to attendees

Delhi hero Kejriwal `unwell`, won`t meet Anna Hazare today

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal will not be able to visit Ralegan Siddhi in Maharashtra and meet Anna Hazare, whose indefinite hunger strike to press for the Lokpal bill entered the third day on Thursday. 

Kejriwal along with Kumar Vishwas was scheduled to meet Anna today to extend support to him for his hunger strike.

Since Kejriwal was suffering from high fever on Wednesday night, Kumar Vishwas said the AAP convenor won't be able to accompany him to Ralegan Siddhi. AAP members - Sanjay Singh and Gopal Rai - will now go along Kumar Vishwas. 

On Wednesday, Kejriwal had announced that his party salutes the 76-year-old Hazare's anti-corruption movement and that they were with him. 

Hazare's blood pressure was slightly above normal and he lost nearly one kg weight on the second day of his hunger strike. 

Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan also sent an emissary, Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat, to meet Hazare and persuade him to call off the hunger strike, but the latter did not relent

Modi to inaugurate Olympian's 'Run for Unity' on Dec. 15

Vadodara: The "Run For Unity" marathon will be inaugurated by Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on December 15 in Vadodara.

"It will be a unique event and we expect more than 1.85 lakh people to participate in the marathon. This will be a record in itself," Vadodara District Collector Vinod Rao who is the organiser of the event told reporters today.

All arrangements have been made at the huge Navlakhi compound located in the middle of the city for parking 20,000 vehicles and 5 000 two wheelers, he said.

Youth and others have responded positively to the appeal made by Mr Modi to pay tribute to Sardar Patel on his 63rd death anniversary on Sunday, December 15, he said.

Mr Modi's effort to start a movement to collect iron for the Statue of Unity will be launched along with the event and it is scheduled to be completed before January 26, 2014, which is Republic Day.

Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Chandigarh and Pune are the major cities gearing up for the event on Sunday.
